The Las Vegas Boulevard or “The Boulevard,” as it is often referred to by the longtime Vegas residents, is where you’ll likely head to when looking for a great time. The glitz and glam of The Boulevard draw people to this major road in the Las Vegas Valley, which runs the stretch of the Las Vegas metropolis in the Clark County. It is part of the main highway that used to carry the name “US 91” or “U.S. Route 9,” which runs from LA to Salt Lake City.

- Further down south is the part of the old Vegas known for older wedding chapels, motels and more bars and wedding chapels that were among the high points of the old Vegas before the era of the casino megaresorts.
- The section that runs from Russell Road to Blue Diamond Road is now dubbed as “South Strip” to differentiate it from the highly developed The Strip in the northern section. The South Strip has but a few shopping malls, condos and hotels.
