A Fantastic Stay at the Palace Suites Hotel in Trieste
We hadn’t visited Trieste previously, but had heard rave reviews from others who had visited this elegant and classical port city in the extreme north east of Italy.
We needed accommodation for a six night stay in this lovely part of northern Italy, and were therefore seeking something that offered substantially more than just a conventional hotel room.
When seeking this accommodation in Trieste we looked at a number of options, but kept coming back to the Palace Suites Hotel.
The building itself is of classic design, and has an interesting and colourful history. The interior renovations are exceptional, with each suite offering its own kitchen, lounge with writing desk, large flat screen televisions, beautifully comfortable king size bed in a separate bedroom and many balconies.
The Palace Suites Hotel offers sixteen suites (with more being developed presently), with the foyer from the elevator on each floor opening to only two suites, thus reducing noise and congestion.
The building is located on the via San Nicolo, in the heart of Trieste’s historical precinct and only about 200 metres from the waterfront.
The suite that we stayed in at the Palace Suites Hotel had about seven balconies in all, including a magnificent corner balcony that reminded one of what you see in some of the most elegant buildings in the world.
The Palace Suites Hotel is operated by the Continentale Hotel just down the Road, and makes use of the facilities of this Hotel for buffet breakfasts, great espresso coffees and meals.
The Continentale Hotel also offers a spacious and elegant guest lounge with adjacent bar and coffee shop, free WiFi for guests, 24 hour reception and more.
If you’re heading to Trieste, do yourself a favour and ensure that you keep the Palace Suites Hotel high on your list of possible accommodation choices.
