The local calls it “The Smoke of Thunder” because you can hear its noise from a distance of 40 kilometers and it can be seen from a distance of 50 kilometers. The spray and mist from the falling water rises to a height of over 400 meters.

Its combined width of 1,708 meters (5,604 ft) and height of 108 meters (354 ft) makes it the largest fall. How to Get There?
Victoria Falls is located on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe.
From Lusaka in Zambia you can travel on the Mazhandu Family Bus to Livingstone. Some flights are available from Lusaka to Livingstone, but the service is less reliable than those offered by South African Airways and British Airways.
For those in Zimbabwe, there is a train service from Bulawayo to the township of Victoria Falls, on the Zimbabwean side of the border. Air Zimbabwe also offers internal flights to and from Vitoria Falls township.
From South Africa, regular flights are available from Johannesburg, to Livingstone and to Victoria Falls township.
